Ingredients:
- 4 cans 15 oz each canned navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon optional
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C
In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained navy beans, ketchup, molasses, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, chopped onion, minced garlic, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper
Mix well
Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly
If using bacon, sprinkle the cooked and crumbled bacon over the top of the beans
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the beans are bubbly and the top is caramelized
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving
