Keto Root Beer Pulled Pork



You can enjoy pulled pork that tastes like root beer but doesn't have any extra sugars. This dish is great for keto dieters because it is easy to make and tastes great.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder, trimmed and cut into chunks
  • 1 can 12 oz diet root beer
  • 1 cup sugar-free BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

In a slow cooker, combine pork shoulder, diet root beer, sugar-free BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until pork is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork

Once done, shred the pork using two forks and mix it well with the sauce in the slow cooker

Serve hot on keto-friendly buns or over a bed of cauliflower rice for a low-carb option
